Famed serial killer H. H. Holmes confessed to a total of 27 murders. He was actually convicted of one. And only 4 of the bodies of his additional suspected victims have ever been positively identified. Five more people are reasonably likely to have been his victims, but this remains unproven. And yet, he is rumored to have committed an astounding 200 murders in total. But, does that number even make sense?
